Stitch Master Upholstery is a local Cairns business owned and operated by Lex and Brenda Reid.
Lex has over 35 years experience in the upholstery business, having started his apprenticeship in New Zealand at an early age. Learning his craft the old-fashioned way, taught by qualified tradesmen with many years experience, Lex mastered the trade from the ground up. He gained knowledge and expertise with all forms of upholstery; furniture restoration and repair, custom-built furniture, car upholstery and motor trimming, boat upholstery and marine trimming.
After completing his apprenticeship Lex moved to London. Three years working there allowed him to work with fine antiques and to hone his skills on top quality, high-end furniture. Moving to Australia, Lex worked in Brisbane and Northern New South Wales for a number of years before he and Brenda settled in Cairns 12 years ago.
Stitch Master Upholstery was established to provide Cairns with a complete upholstery service.
